Hi! I have just launched journaling workshop in Kigali, Rwanda. I have never seen journaling workshop happening here, so my journaling workshop is probably the very first one!
In this blog post, I will share the reasons why I’m launching my own Journaling workshop in Kigali. I hope this blog post will reach out to Kigalians, and that I see you in my next workshop!
Hosting workshop to connect with new friends

One of the main reasons I came up with Journaling workshop is very simple: to connect with new friends. To be honest, this might sound like selfish reason. But it is true!
Looking at my sportive husband, I realized it looks like so easy to meet new friends if you are sportive. There are several sport communities in Kigali, that he has so many chances to meet new people and have fun through sport. And yes, I was jealous.
So, I started to think, my hobby = journaling is rather in-door, done at home, by oneself kind of activity, but why not reach out to people through journaling?
Maybe it is fun if we get together and chat about journaling or journal together. This is how I came up of workshop idea.
Starting workshop to provide self-care moment

Workshop will give you time to journal. For me, it has become a big part of my life so I will journal almost everyday no matter what. But I also understand that it is not easy for everyone, though we know that it is good for you.
It is just like exercise. Every research says it is good for your health, and we all know that even 10-15 mins exercise is good for you. Yes, we all understand, yet it is difficult for some people (like me…).
And I consider journaling just the same. We know it is good for your mental health. Even writing down 2-3 sentences will make impact. But I also know that to make it a habit is very difficult for some people.
Participating in this workshop will secure you to have journaling time, self-care moment, at least once a month. Once you get a habit of it, you will be opening your notebook once a week, a couple of days a week, and eventually it’ll become every day.
I want to provide solid self-care time for busy friends. I know it is difficult to secure time, but if you don’t start now, when will you start? Join the workshop and get yourself started!
Providing workshop to share #3goodthings practice

I want to share the benefit of simple but empowering #3goodthings practice.
I have been journaling for more than 20 years now, but ever since I started #3goodthings practice, I can feel that my life is changing.
It’s a very simple practice. Just write down the 3 good things that you encountered. This practice requires only a couple of minutes per day, but after a few days of practice, you can feel the difference in yourself. You will be always looking for positive side of your life even in the hard moment.
- I became more optimist.
- I am enjoying my life more than ever.
- I feel nice and busy because I have so many things that I want to do, not I need or should do.
- I feel more motivated, and here I am who just launched workshop & starting my new blog.
Through this workshop, I want to spread the power of #3goodthings practice, which is super easy to start but will steadily push up you to next level.

Journaling workshop is now happening in Kigali!

Journaling workshop is launched October 2021, and we have done already 4 sessions. To be honest, this is one of the biggest activities I have dedicated myself to in my Kigali life. If I told myself back in 2020 that I would be hosting an event, I don’t think I believed that.
Ever since I started #3goodthings practice in 2021, my life is changing. I am more and more focused in what I really want to do, and what I want to give it a go.
I had never seen journaling session in Kigali, so I decided to try. Let’s see where this workshop will take us.
